Met a few of the guys on here
I left home at noon on Sunday and drove to Chicago to buy a Camaro hood from SSL78, John. Then I drove all night to Red Lion, PA to buy a 1966 Chevelle hood from Doug Y, I can't remember his user name, on Monday morning.
I then returned thru Massillon, OH and picked up a slot car set for Mr70 from a seller who wouldn't ship it. I met Rick in Chicago this morning and handed that off to him and then proceeded north to Franklin, WI to drop off the hoods at Restoration Specialists to be chemically stripped and EDP dipped. So after all that, I returned home empty handed... The weather had been great until I left the Milwaukee area. I drove thru 2 monsoons before I was halfway back thru WI and then the temp dropped to 28 degrees and the roads started icing from the rain that fell the entire time. We are getting snow now in the Hudson area, so I'm glad to be home before it got too bad. I covered 2,267 miles in 53 hours and made 5 stops. Kinda like the peddle routes I used to run doing OTR work...
