I had a '78 V8 4-speed Malibu coupe and a '79 V8 4-speed Malibu station wagon and those are very uncommon but I have never seen a V8 4-speed '79 Grand Prix, and with no A/C either. I love the rarity and love the color combo but man, I never cared for that front end.

I thought the days of factory Hurst shifter installation had ended long before 1979. Did 4 speed equipped 79 Firebirds have a Hurst shifter?

amazing, outside of the V8 4spd, how plain this car, is no factory mags, minimal trim. Very cool though
