Looking for a clean and rust-free driver's door, or a door-skin for a 1968 Camaro. My Camaro is getting close to paint-ready, and discovered that the door-skin has too much filler from an old accident repair. Planning to ship to KY, USA.
On a related note, there's a NOS GM doorskin on ebay - item 330425397588... can someone tell me what it's worth? Likewise, there's a reproduction door on ebay item 120487026925, but I'd prefer to re-skin my original door or find a clean replacement door... unless someone can tell me that the replacement door is as good. Thanks! |

Having sold Camaro parts for 15 years here is some advice. The demand for doors is opposite the supply-for every RH door you could sell 10 LH. We never had enough LH. When we closed in '97 of the couple dozen doors in stock maybe 3-4 were LH, probably rusty WI stuff. Some 67-68 doors have the additional complication of big holes for RS moldings.
If you find a decent clean door it may be the only one you will be offered. Pay the price.

Call Bob Harris at Camaro Specialities in Buffalo. I saw many doors at his shop. (716)652-7086. I think a very good used door is the way to go.
