That is cool. Along with muscle cars, I like 1st generation quattro cars. I have an 87 4000 with a 20 valve 5 cylinder turbo car. Audi was cutting edge in awd back in the day. I also dig the fact they were doing COP ignition 10 years before anyone.
Those STI Subaru's have done a lot for brining small chassis turbo awd cars some serious credit. Because of them, I refer to dyno hp as measured at the wheels. Amazing to see well mannered dasily drivers making 500 hp at the wheels with 2~2.5 liters AND getting 25 mpg! |
