I recently posted in another thread about using this: http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/pdotforms...rms/dl-135.pdf
form to find the PO of my car, which was titled in my father's name since about 1991. I called the Harrisburg DMV phone number per the instructions. Verified there were 4 records for my car. Send the proper payment and got not-so-great response. They said "We are not able to provide this information because the information you requested does not exist in our files. The Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Record Retreival Unit, can only provide microfilm copies of records dating back ten years." Not sure how they can tell me to send the fee for 4 previous owners and give me this response. Not sure if anyone is willing to post publicly some of their research techniques in PA but I would welcome any PM or other advise people are willing to share. As much as I love this board, I won't be using anyones technique for flusing out a Yenko. I just would like to research my 65 Malibu SS. My first ![]() My '65 ![]() |

May be all your getting anymore. I ran my 69 Z/28 back in 2001 and the search went back to where the car came into Pa. (1988) NOT anymore it seems.

Just caught this. Send it in again, make sure you check the 'vehicle history' box ( I think ) that will tell them to search the micro-fiche instead of the just the 'active' records. Its a crapshoot, it truly depends on who happens to process your request that day. I'm still sending in the same request to get the 'right' person..... FRUSTATING

Called them back and spoke to a woman who understood the value in actually reading things. She confirmed there is data to report and put in for a second request. They are actually supposed to call be between now and Tuesday to go over the report before they send it. We'll see.
