Can a new thread be deleted by the originator?

I started a thread to share some pictures that I took at a local car show. I mistakenly organized my photobucket album after posting the pictures and that broke the link.
I posted another thread with the pictures again and would like to remove the original thread with the broken links; is that possible?

If it hasn't already been deleted....click on the notify button in the lower right of the thread...that will let the moderators know what's up [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif[/img]
