Default Surfacing BBC Exhaust Flanges

All:

I am looking at a set of aluminum BBC heads with pretty severe pitting on the exhaust port gasket surfaces. Has anyone attempted to deck this surface to remove the pitting? Any advice would be appreciated!

Maybe some sprayed aluminum repairing might be done to fill the pitting before you have them machined.
