I am new to this site and look forward to future participation. I am looking for 1966-1971 GM or Mopar high performance cars that have original paint, all matching numbers, documentation and an unmolested engine bay. If anyone has such a car for sale, please send your contact information and I will respond promptly.... Thanks, SYC

Well I have a 1969 Camaro , 29,000 original miles approx 65-70 % original paint and absolutely 100. % originalmeverywhere else !! It s a Hugger orange RS 327 air tilt cruise black interior automatic. The car has the original stripe kit up the hood shows all the cracking but a newer wide black stripe was added over the fenders. The car looks amazing

Sounds like a beautiful car. The most important element I am looking for is the original paint. I would like it to be as close to 100% as possible even if there are a few normal chips and scratches visible. I see you are from Canada. I was up there a few months ago looking at a car.... COLD, but beautiful country!! Thanks for your reply.....

You should go ahead and pick up Scott S's '67 Chevelle if its still around.
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...opics/559349/1 That looks like a picture perfect example of what you're looking for. Then Scott has an easy path to getting his wife the Camaro, I don't have to ask about the Hugger Orange car for myself (making a ANOTHER wife very happy), and the world is a better place. Easy,no? |

Are your requirements a hi performance car, or just any car in unrestored condition??

the427king, Like most of us, I would prefer the car to be a Hi-Performance one but, in some cases the quality and eye appeal of a less performing car makes it desirable as well. For example, I recently found and bought a Chevelle L78, 4 Speed car that is great and certainly fits in the hi-performance category. However, I am also looking at a Camaro RS that is a 350 automatic because it is such a great original car with lots of documentation and history. In summary, there has to be a balance between originality and performance and it all depends on the car.....
