Not sure where the best place to post this is so I thought I would start here. I am going to be at the MCACN and staying at the Crowne Plaza. Am flying in late Friday afternoon and going back home Sunday evening, so I will be at the show for both days. Does Yenko.net have a booth or gathering area where Members are likely to congregate? While there I would like meet and shake hands with some of the characters, er make that gentlemen, that inhabit this site. If such a place will exist where will it be? Thanks for any help in this regard and look forward to putting some faces with screen names.

If that's the case my understanding is the hotel that is directly across the street is the Crowne Plaza which is where I'm staying. But there are also other hotels across the street too. Thanks Bruce. Dave |

David,
The Double Tree and the Embessy Suites are directly across the street, the Double Tree was party central last year.

Dave; great to hear you will be joining us this year at MCACN. Let me give you some "inside tips" as to where some of the action is taking place, Yenko.net wise.
First off, our Z/28 Invitational is being led by Charley Lillard. He may not know that yet, but he'll find out when he gets there! If you see him riding by on a bike, tell him to return it to me! Several other members, including Dru Diesner aka psYco,(69), Don Stowers (67) as are Chris P. (67) from Texas and others will be in that area. I have to believe during show hours, this area will indeed be a happening spot. Over in our Original Owners group, look for the tall Gentleman near the Hugger Orange ZL1 and the other grey haired guy near the black LS6 Chevelle. These are two guys you need to meet in person. Spending time with either one of these guys is worth the price of admission alone, I guarantee! Brian Henderson and the SCW crew will have display with three awesome cars; a '69 Yenko Chevelle, a gorgeous L78 Nova and a super fresh '69 Pace Car owned by yenko.net member JoeD from Texas. You will find Stefano in the Nickey display right up front, and another Yenko.net member will be unveiling a very special car in the Nickey booth Saturday morning. I'll let him check in on that... You'll find Tommy Nolen in our Class of 1963 Invitational near his awesome black 406 4-speed Galaxie. Oh...and the hotels; The Crowne, the DoubleTree and the Embassy Suites are all right across the street and side by side. The DoubleTree serves as the main "party central" location, as we literally take over the whole place. We occupy over half of both the Crowne and the Embassy and we also have people at the aLoft, which is behind the Crowne. Over 1300 room nights have been sold to MCACN participants and spectators this year, so looks like we are pretty much taking over all of Rosemont this year! BTW, You will find the psYco Lounge, hosted by our own Dru, in the lobby of the Doubletree. Enter at your own risk! Be sure to stop by the show office and meet me and Vicki! This is just the beginning and I am just going by memory. I am kinda fried right now, after working on the floorplan all day and then taking two of my granddaughters out for Trick or Treating, (age 2 and 4); I encourage all yenko.net members to chime in! Counting down the days. Bashton MCACN Managing Member |

Dang Bob, you spoiled it!!! I had Dave believing the Crown Plaza was 2 miles down the road and on the other side of the interstate. Actually, Dave is a neighbor and believe it or not a pretty good guy with some very serious cars. We travel together to some shows, he should have a car in the show but his turn is coming a few years....the class of '66

I think everyone should be required to wear one of those high school reunion stickers on their lapel with their Yenko.net member name...and a photo attached of them dating to the year of the car they are displaying.
