I sure hope AJ can secure a new sponsor; it would suck if they had to sit out the season.

We were just talking about this last week, I had my doubts about this year after 2014's sponsorship cuts.

Interesting... Al-Anabi got into Jr Drag Racing for '15, but on their home turf apparently. They bought 12 Jr Dragsters from HalfScale and then flew them over to Qatar this week to set up the program.

No surprise as the "sheik" has been MIA from the US scene for the last half of the '14 season.
Last year, before the season for PDRL opened, the Team my brother Crew Chiefs for was contacted about a Pro-Mod car ordered by the Shiek & Al-Anabi Racing from a Top Race Car Builder in the St Louis area stating, it was available. The funds weren't completed as the car was nearing completion.
J C racing bought the car and my brother soon after had it delivered and prepped it for the 2014 season finishing 4th overall in Nat.points.
No sightings of the Shiek were noticed during most of the season, the Plot thickens as they say....

Perhaps the plummeting oil prices are decimating their lifestyle?
