Default Best...Sound...Ever...

Getting Tin Soldier ready for a run on Wednesday night. It has been many, many years since TS has been run on a track.

Went through everything for safety. Put on a new set of slicks, and fixed a fuel leak.

That sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. Tech should require two return springs for the throttle and you should have them just to be safe.

Good Luck.

Good catch. I forgot about that one!

Thanks, Ill have my daughter take some videos. She "thinks" she's the #@%^ driving her brothers twin turbo 14' Camaro down the track. Wait till she sees an "Old School" car going down the track. Only problem will be keeping her from behind the wheel (not even close to prepared for that).

Looks like you may have a oiling problem on that #3 Intake. Also not sure what camshaft, but looking at those springs I would be using better Rockers and Definitely some Positive lock nuts. Not trying to be a Know it all. Just that the car is Amazing and I don't want to see you hurt it.

No issue with you mentioning that. Appreciate the comment and passed it on to Ricky. One of CaseyCajuns good friends whom has been a gearhead (Ricky) all his life has been helping me sort the car for the last two days.

We replaced one of the fuel regulators today, as well as a transmission line for safety. He has been going over the car with a fine tooth comb.

I am not sure if Vic ever ran the car when he had it, but I am sure it has been some time since it has seen a track.

New plugs and a tune up today.

Drained the fuel and ran to the airport to pick up some Avgas, added the 2 stroke oil and found more issues with the carb (gummed up). Full rebuild on the table for tomorrow, or possibly picking up a more robust carb per Ricky. Currently has a 750 single pump on it now, he recommends a 850 double pumper.

Gates open a 5pm, pretty sure we will be ready. Matt is taking his 14' Camaro Twin Turbo V6 (running high 12's) and Meredith is swiping my wifes new Cadillac CTS-VSport Twin Turbo to run. No school (Mardi Gras break) for the kids so we can stay out late playing.

Ill post some pics on Thu.
