Looks like a lot of car for the money if it goes for opening price. Brent, I always enjoy looking at the links to cars you post.

This camaro, being an all steel car with stock type glass is so much a positive on a tubbed, professionally modified unit for competition use..
SRD is held in high esteem to nearly any Racer /Builder from that period and beyond ....
over a 10-15 year reign Dozens and Dozens of Competitive Pro & Amateur Cars were feared and respected thanks to the Dominance of Bill Grumpy Jenkins.
In the late 70's - early 80's my brother purchased an SRD Modified 22 mile 74 Vega Drag Car.
That Car was so well built that everything they touched was near perfection in quality, appearance and Most Importantly Function.
He converted it to a Pro Street SBC....All Steel ...
And won best engineered , best paint , interior etc.at numerous Super Chevy events and from NHRA Tech inspectors.
This Car resides in New York State , (Since the sale in mid 80's) Colored in Porsche Guards Red Lacquer, Super Charged , trimmed with Brushed aluminum bumpers , handles, trimmed etc.

Sorry for such a long comment....
But if that Camaro is truly a SRD prepared car and mostly unaltered since, would make an awesome Period (early 70's) Pro Stock, M/P Restoration/Preservation endeavor. Maybe it even has Drag history and a connection to a known Racer ....would be icing if so......

I just damn well "Dig this 69" a lot !

Good luck if someone here is considering it.

Does anyone have further information on SRD? Magazine articles or contacts?

Thanks,
Dan

Dan go to Hot Rod,Super Stock, Drag Illustrated, Cars Performance, Car Craft magazines from 69- 75 and there's alot of info of them building cars, tech ID, Signature SRD mods, history etc.
I saw a few newer articles recently but can't recall which magazine..
there were some posts & threads posted here as well.....a member has a 2nd Gen Pro Stock he's doing that's an SRD Car ......
If I had 30-40 freed up to buy it and mildly re do it,,, I'd be all over this. But I'm only half way there.... & out of room....dammit.
Google SRD.....

Tom

In Addition, I wouldn't be surprised if this was originally a L78 SS /COPO Car , as that was the base for many Race prepped cars of the Day.....just an opinion mind you......

I was thinking the same as Tom. Lot of car for the money.

Last "sale" (buyer flaked out) was at $15,000.
