Default Houndstooth Mod Top 69 L78 Camaro

While at the MCACN show last weekend I saw a original owner 67 Camaro with a George Barris designed "MOD TOP"
and it really looked right out of the 60's.

It just so happened to today as I was tracing back the original owner history of my 69 Camaro SS/RS L78 396 Garnet Red/ Parchment vinyl top at that was purchased used in 1973 at Keystone Motors in Doylestown PA that I finally met the owner of the dealership from back then and after showing him a picture of my car, I asked him if he remembered the car he said unfortunately he did not and did not have any paperwork remaining from the time.
What he said next got my attention, around the same time he owned a Garnet Red L78 SS/RS L78 with a Black and White Hounds tooth interior and Hounds tooth Top (MOD TOP) He said it was a great looking car but unfortunately was stolen and found in Philadelphia 3 months later with the engine gone.
I wonder where that car ever got to? and has anyone ever seen a Hounds tooth "MOD TOP"?
