Default Opinions on this 1111480 distributor stamp?

Found this distributor for my Z which is missing the right date but I am questioning the stamp on this one being offered to me?

It looks original in many ways including its age, 532 cam plate and correct vacuum can, but the stamp is what concerns me. First of all it has an X stamped to the left of the part number, and the 0 in 1111480 looks like it's been double hit or possibly redone over another number? Does it look right to you guys in terms of fonts etc or does this look like it's been altered?

Appreciate others opinions on the stamp?

I looked at other distributors listed for sale on this site as a reference. It appears most have the 'milled lines' in the area of the date stamp...this one does not

Not sure if that is correct...hopefully some of the other gurus will chime in.

I've seen them smoothed in that area before but always leaves me to wonder if someone has changed a number when I see that? It does look like it's been re-hit to me and I've usually seen the date codes stamped in a tighter grouping. The dates on this one are spaced apart and I've never seen an X stamped on one either?

I'm sure there are enough folks on the SYC who have 'real deal' 480's that can be used for comparison...perhaps even a similar date since these components were produced in batches.

Measure twice...cut once.
