Default 69 Chevelle Fuel Tank Numbers

Had to drop the fuel tank on my Post Sedan and in doing a little cleanup, found these numbers.......the "31 9" is on the opening for the sending unit.....any meaning to that? The "337" hand written on the passenger side top corresponds to nothing in either the VIN or the Body number on the TT......any ideas?

I would suspect the 31 9 would mean the 31st production day of 1969, and would guess the 337 to be the last 3 digits of the job number that might show up on the build sheet if you had one.

The 337 , if it was on a camaro - the same number is on the heater box inside the car - on the top side. Most likely a job number

Thanks gents....If I ever have occasion to remove the heater box (I hope not any time soon!), I will look for that number.

Bill, I had the heater box out to replace the heater core on your post sedan, so you shouldn't have any need to pull it anytime soon.
I didn't see any numbers on the box.
