Hi folks,

I have a very nice 3.36 positrac carrier from a 1958 Corvette that came out of my dad's 61 Corvette back in the 1990s when he swapped it out for a 4-series gear. It is in nice shape and always operated quietly in the car. He has owned the car since 1963 and I know it hasn't been beat on too hard under his ownership. Date code is December 1957 and the case is embossed with the tall 'P'. Axle code is too tough to read without stripping the paint. Any idea what it is worth?

Thanks!

750 to 1k ish is what they bring around here...and they are gone as soon as they are offered...

a lucky guy could get one for 500 ish...but ya gotta be fast and ready to roll...

did ya look on ebay? check completed auctions...hate them or love them, they are a good place to research pricing..doesnt matter what they ask..its what they sell for..

Tony...
Your dad still has a 61 vette that he bought in 63?
If so and he doesn't a dealer brochure -- I have a 61 Vette dealer brochure I will send you to go along with the car...
