Default How Well Does the Repo 68-72 Nova fenders fit?

A friend is needing pair and wanting to know how well they fit versus using his old original fenders which need some rust repair.

Any manufacturer better than others?

Thanks

A friend of mine used one on his 70. Didn't fit well, and he ended up fixing his original one. I have always found that if you can repair an original, you know it will fit.

Fix or find an original.

Post Nova front fenders...

Stay away from the repro stuff...if you go that route you will live to regret it!!

Best bet is to use original assembly line pieces...fix rust or damage as needed...I emphasize 'assembly line pieces'...some of the later NOS stuff may not work as well as the originals.

The assembly line parts are the only way to go...things will line up...molding will fit properly...etc.

If you do a quality repair to the originals there won't be any problems.

FWIW theres a pretty nice pair in dallas craigslist for 400$ about as rust free as you can fine - not mine just trying to help a member out middle of nowhere Tx

If you choose to go aftermarket, I like AMD. On Nova fenders, fit on NOS can be dependent on when it was made. Later ones have bracing issues that make them bow out. Normal rust issues behind the wheel are an easy fix. Getting into the wheel opening gets more challenging. FWIW.

Agree 100%

A used assembly line fender will fit better...

I needed a RH fender for my 71 -- the original fender was trashed on the bottom. Ordered a replacement for it -- the damn thing didn't even fit very well in the box it came in. Sent it back -- got to work on the original and made it right. TAZ

Agree with Schoneye, the AMD fenders actually fit very nice - much better than NOS ones.

No experience here with AMD Fenders, but every thing AMD I have used was VG.
69 Camaro quarters, and full trunk floor. Full Chevelle trunk floor, trunk drops, and package tray, and Rear horizontal frame section.
Misc floor pan sections. All full gague , minor adjustments only.
