JoeC:
Where was that Chevelle you called about in NJ located? The guy that said he had TONS of paperwork, and that only cars that were sold in Canonsburg were true Yenkos? I want to say it was listed around 100K? Wasn't it a Yenko? You would think he would have been able to at least copy the correct spelling of off the emlems or stripes! DOH! |

This car has been for sale in hemmings at least three time in the last 5 years. The owner seemed paranoid and evasive when I asked specifics on the car. The owner was a real know it all.

Tom - appears to be the same car we spoke about before. That car popped up for sale a few times in Hemmings for 100k. I called on it a few times over the last 10 years but the owner would provide no numbers and not much info on it. I tried to at least get the rear end code to see if it was a COPO but I think he wants you to buy the car and check it later. He said it was a race car built by Yenko but two ex-Yenko employees I spoke with could not recall anything about it. The stripes and rear emblem placement look non-Yenko but I believe he said it was repainted. I would like to see his documentation.

I have spoken with this guy a few times as well, what a handfull!! 'I plan to retire with the money from this car, it is worth way more than my asking price' he says!! 'Only three were built, just for racing. These cars were built by Yenko's special race mechanic' - he rambles on and on....'no, you cannot see my extensive paperwork - you might not buy the car' - click.
(boy howdy!!) M
