i just tracked down a very rare 70 challenger that has been in storage since 1977!!!! the 440 is gone but the dana 60 is still there and there is a hemi 4 spd. in the trunk!!! the car is a 440-6 pak (v code in vin)4 spd, dana, r/t, rallye gauges 8000 tach and 160 speedo, the car was originally lemon twist w/black int, the body is in awesome shape!!! it has a t/a hood on it right now, also most of the interior is in really nice shape also from being out of the sun for so long. it is a early car, a close friend of mine who has been looking for a challenger for a very long time will be buying the car in the next few days, it is really neat to see that there is some finds still out there!!!i will try to get some pics of the car next week.

You should check the data plate to see if it is a real T/A hood car.
I'd hardly call a Six Pack Challenger very rare, however. They made about 1500 of them. |

[/ QUOTE ] If it is a factory T/A hood car, the build sheet and fender tag would have an N94 on it. If it's an early build car, its doubtful. The few that do were all May, June built cars... Sounds like a great car, love that color... Patrick |

How about a 70 RT/SE Challenger Convertible 440 6pk, 4 speed? My friend had one up until about a year and a half ago, and now a friend of his brother in law has it under restoration (not that it was really in need of one). Bought it from a guy in the Navy back in 81 or so that being transfered, for $1500. Original matching numbers on everything on it, one repaint the original color in 82. Had just about evry option available except the shaker hood, it had power windows, power top, center console, rim blow horn, AM/FM 8 track, ralley pack dash, tinted glass, etc. Beleive it also has A/C but it's been a while since I've seen it.

There were 99 RT verts with the 440 six pack made I dont have the trans breakdown.Plus I dont have the RT/SE verts in a 440 six pack brokendown. The RT/SE cars are rarer than a RT cars so I would have to say its below 50.Heres what I have in the hardtop:RT/SE 440 six pack 4speed-135 RT/SE 440 six pack auto-161.
