Default Steering column help needed

I need to replace the turn signal switch in my 68 Beaumont. I have never worked on a steering column. I can't figure out how to get the wiring harness out so I can install the new switch. I have the steering wheel off and the signal switch loose. I also have the bracket out that holds the steering column in place. PLEASE HELP.
Thanks, James
