Default 1966 Baldwin Corvair

A 1966 Corvair Corsa was ordered new in July, `66 by a mechanic for Baldwin Chev. The car was stripped and screwed together as a racer with all the goodies then available. The car is now restored to the original livery found when it was media blasted. I have attempted over the last few years to tack down any leeds on this owner/mechanic. Anyone in SCCA at the time (perhaps a tech inspector) could be very helpful in my attempts to trace the history of this car. The SCCA logbook and most of the records in the glove box were reduced to garbage by mice. Oil City carwash tokens, and matchbook covers from Ballerose Diner on Jamaica Ave. and Baldwin are all that survive from the defroster vent tubes. Any recollections of the car would be helpful. I am at a dead-end living on the left coast in Oregon. Thanks, Bob

PS. The mechanic was described as a very tall, lean and lanky fellow with dark hair who worked for Baldwin but lived in New Jersey.
