What track was that? That guy sure needs to learn to look ahead further down the track. I have raced with guys like that and they have tunnel vision. Foolshley they stay focused on the first car ahead of them. That is how they usually wind up. I always was taught to stay focused on the outer limit of the track ahead. That way you would see a problem way before you got there and had more time to avoid it.
