hey guys have you seen any paperwork for decoding the eaton clutch fans for application...I bought one for my 67 and am still not sure its right not to mention in my quest for a clutch fan I have a half dozen of these things around here..

Bud,
If anybody knows how to identify those, it would be the Vette guys. An inquiry through NCRS might lead to a technical article on them, or you could try contacting Fred Oliva in FL. He rebuilds them and has a very good knowledge of which one is which. [email protected] Good luck ![]() Verne |

Rick what I need to know is what number I need for the 67 RS/SS 350 car with A/C *non smog car... I still have a headache from going through the whole fan thing and the 5 rivit pattern and placement and the look to the fan, hopefully I have it here and can pass along the others I dont need, I talked to all the top dogs across the country last year and no two guys said the same thing, DOH!! so I have some 5 rivit fans here from e bay to look over I need to clean some of these others up and see what markings they have but one I have from the rat house that looks like a pretty new take-off that is real clean and I think I recall the 69 guys talking about 772 fans and thats what this one is with a inked Eaton and J3J on the clutch.... |

I have so many clutch fans around here that I could start a fan company. My headake also has never gone away. Hope someone posts some info on common car applications Peter |

dont get rid of any until I figure out what the heck I need,lol...you would think it would be pretty easy to figure out..never seems to work that way for me...always have to go hunt for some hens tooth..geeze

Bud, not to add fuel to the fire but the clutches have ink stamped dates and some have month and Year stamped on the flange. Do yours have any of these??
