Take a deep breath Dan....
I seem to recall an original owner blue 442 '70 or '71--that went to maybe $75k/85k last year??--in pristine condition I'm sure the market has crept up a bit since then---- This looks like a :cool project W-30 ---Depends what his reserve is--Engine work/mildew/paint etc..adds up--you know the drill........Try classicoldsmobile.com |

You might try this site....
www.442.com/oldsfaq/ofwmc.htm Legendary Motor Car has had one sitting for a few months. They want upper 60's for theirs. Happy Days dealer has had one for a number of months. Price has been reduced recently to upper 50's. Documentation is key.

The 442.com site is not a great source of accurate info.

Sounds like a starter project. Good material to work with, but it looks like it might be a high starting price. I would say for a car like that-- $20-25K. I saw the W-car that Happy Dayz has at the Mecum auction last winter in Kansas City. Nice car, original paint, correct and numbers matching, a lot of docs, local car, replacement fender on passenger side. I would try for that car and throw the lure in the shallow end. See if they nibble!

Lorne and Rusty,
I cannot thank you enough for your time, generosity and shared knowledge. I have a new found understanding for these Olds cars. When I bring one home, I know it will not be without the help of you two. This is what the hobby is about! Thank you! ![]() -Dan
