Picked up some NOS dog dishes that are unpainted, the inserts and bowtie. Wondering if they were a mistake or was an earlier year dog dish not painted?

So, if originals were unpainted, what year does everyone think they started painting them?
Or maybe they came both ways and whatever the assembly line had that day, they used? Since these are NOS, no bags, these must have been put on the shelf back in 69 or 70. That's my guess. Too bad I only have three. |
