Default 1969 Camaro - Sunroof

OK guys - I know that the factory didnt offer one, but I am pretty sure there is an 'era-correct' one that was offered aftermarket. Memory escapes - was it Hurst, or some Company from the UK?
Does anyone have the dimensions for it and/or info about it?
Also, has anyone ever seen the trim plate be incorrect showing 12437 versus a 12337 that the vin has and the title shows? The car is an X44 built 09C - vin fits in to the correct sequence, just curious about the body number. Any suggestions on a range for that?
thanks
Tas

A guy here in the 1st Gen Camaro club has a 69 Export Camaro, French I think, with a sunroof, done at the factory! I could probably track him down after I get back from a road trip I go on this week.

Sunroofs was a popular option on the European market, and still is.

The GM plant in Antwerp, Belgium had this as an option. They assembled GM cars there up until the 1968 production year and they put in sunroofs when a customer wanted that.

Many Camaros got it, I have also seen GTO's and Impalas with sunroofs.

From the production year 1969 they was only a importstation for continental Europe but they still could put in sunroofs on special order. I know of one 1971 Z28 with vinyl and sunroof.

They used sunroofs from the German (i think) manufacturer Webasto.

Thanks for the responses so far guys!
This info begs the question - how do you determine an export car? The speedo is in MPH - dont know that it couldnt have been changed.
The car also has an old style alarm on it. Big horn looking contraption on the drivers fender with a on/off switch behind the side marker light on drivers side fender? Not sure of brand...would that play into any export stuff?
I'll try to attach a pic of the sunroof...

On export cars that I've seen they usually have a registration tag attached under the hood shwoing that it was legal in the particular country that it was originally registered in.

I also concur with Jan's post completely. I researched the topic of sunroofs in first gens back in '99 and '00 with the guys over at Team Camaro and at Chevytalk this is exactly what we determined with the help of a few european members.

I think the one here had some fog lights and maybe an extra tailight? It has been a few years since I've seen it. I know there were some additional features required and this car has most or all of the extras.

The 1972 Hurst olds used a Sunroof by Webasto, now known as Hollandia. Thay were installed in the US and Webasto did the entire Hurst conversion in 1972,which Included the Vinyl tops and stripes.
Webasto roofs were also installed on Cadillacs in the 70's and possibly as early as 69.
Webasto Sunroofs can be found on Mercedes and BMW from the late 60's.

In 1969 a Company called Creative industries installed a German made Electric sliding roof for all the major Car companies. They were located arround Detriot. They installed these roofs into the F-body's as well as the Olds Toranado and the Cadilliac Eldo. They also installed these roofs into the Mercury Cougar and the Chrysler A-bodies. I sold a 69 Trans-Am in 04 in original paint that had one installed before being shipped to LA to its original selling dealer. The amount was on the invoice from Ponitac. This car was viewd at Reno 03 and Spring Carlisle 04 By hundreds. We sold the 69 Eliminator at Palm Beach this year that also had one of these roofs. In hindsight I wish I had kept the TA.
