Does anyone have pictures of jack assembly for 1970 chevelle?
I know there was two types. The T-type and the tube type. Can you tell by the build sheet which one came with my LS-6? Any markings or dates stamped on shaft or mechanism? Thanks! John |

Are you sure the t-type came in a 70 chevelle. I thought they were phased out in the late 60's for the stronger tube design. They were in the b bodies for sure.I have never seen a 70 chevelle originally supplied with a t section jack from the factory.I have quite a few originals out of 70's and they are all tube style

If Rick, or Rick, or someone else doesn't get to you first, I'll post a pic of mine tonight. I think it's the T-type, but I haven't seen it for so long I honestly don't recall.

Here are some shots of an unrestored low mileage original. I have seen both the T-type and the tube type though I believe the tube type is the correct one or at least the more common one. I don't have this in front of me so I cannot give you details or markings off of it at this time other then the hook does reference 1970 Chevelle coupe and convertible. I know the lug wrenchs have an "0" on them on the lug head. Hope this helps. (photos courtesy of Chad's Malibu)

That is the one Rick they gave us canadians. We probally got the HD one so we could put the snow tires on easily. Two of mine actually had a red paint dab on the lug wrench also not sure why.I also noticed two different jacking instructions is that so?? Seems one was dated in april and one july maybe.

I have seen this vary by plant. For instance,my arlington ls6 chevelle has the silver t/type jack and my kansas malibu has the square cadmium plated, shown in the pic by rick,I also had a baltimore ls6 with the silver t type so i dont know how you could narrow that down as those were tossed just like everything else
