Default Anyone here ever heard of Kane, IL? lol

I know some guy here with an orange ZL1 used to live there as a child. Here is a quick cell phone picture I took as I was coming out of "New Kane", headed back to Rt 67. This is the intersection right off the highway. This is the old implement store that sits on the NW side of the intersection.

We have a Kane county about 30 miles directly west of Chicago?

This is a dot on the map between Jerseyville and Carrollton, IL. Bernhart lived there when he was a boy.

We talked about this exact thing with Mr. Barnhart this weekend. Ken & Jerri made a pass through the area on their way home after SCR8. He found the farm where they lived and talked with the current residents. This past Sunday he told us he described the area to his Dad and mentioned that he might want to make a side trip the next time he drove to Kansas. (Ken's Dad is 95 years young and still going strong!) Well, that's exactly what he did. On his next trip to their hometown of Coffeyville, Kansas, The Senior Mr. Barnhart visited Kane, IL.
Wish I had been there to meet him.
