Default Converting MP4 vid to something this forum recognizes

I have a vid from my phone that is now on my computer, but it is not recognized by the forum. How do I convert it to one of the recognized formats ?
Thanks...

Handbrake on a PC is my go-to software for this type of task. All kinds of built-in conversions depending on the type of quality and file size you are looking for.

Thanks, but no thanks, Bruce. I have no desire to post anything on youtube.
Handbrake requires a microsoft app I don't have, but I did find another free converter and got it converted to gif. Now it is too large to post and I am trying to find a way to edit it to shorten it, but no luck with that yet.
My technical ability is very limited with this stuff and all the editing programs I find online have way more ai stuff than I need or want to download. I just want a way to cut the length of the vid down.

Could you email the video to someone Mitch? Then, maybe they can upload to this site?

I have it converted to GIF now, Dave, but it is too large. I was looking for an editor program to let me remove sections of the beginning and end, but those all want it in a newer format that I don't see supported in the choices on here.
I'll keep looking. I had other chores to do today...

Can you take screen shots of footage highlights and post them, teasers of what’s coming?

Can't hear sound in a screen shot, Pete. Had it running with the headers open for the first time in 5 years.
Bodyman is supposed to come here tomorrow with the hood so we can get it on and gapped. That's the last piece before final block and paint. I needed it to be moving under it's own power for transport wherever it's going for paint and to move it to the back storage building for winter, painted or not. Got another "little" project I need to get started on.
I'll keep working on the vid, it sounds really good with the "new" engine I bought for it 7 years ago.
