I was flipping through December 20th issue of Automotive News which is a news magazine for people in the industry tonight and came across this ad.
I know that Dick Harrell sold some cars through here and the cool thing about the ad is the fact that is it looks like the same sign from back then is still there. I saw a post card a while back that shows the same sign. I think Camarojoe has the postcard. Post it Joey! ![]()

Courtesy Chevrolet was owned by Ed Fitzgerald, of Phoenix Arizona. He also owned or franchised the multiple Courtesy dealerships in California during his sponsorship of the Dick Harrell Performance Center. I understand all of the converted or modified vehicles from Dick's shop, sold by Courtesy, were shipped through the Phoenix location, on the way to California.
Phoenix was the main location of one of the AHRA Winternationals (hot cars) from 1968 on at BeeLine. This is around the beginning of the time Ed Fitzgerald started his association with Dick. I think Tom's '68 AA/FC is the first Courtesy sponsored vehicle Dick drove. |

This is interesting...when we were in Phoenix for the B-J auction I passed the Courtesy Chevy dealership a few times. I thought it sounded familiar and it looked like a historic dealership so I was curious if it was a supercar dealership.
