Seven years already
Seemed like yesterday that I was fortunate to secure this ‘65 GTO.
The eBay auction was very simple and didn’t offer much in documentation. Photos were terrible also. I was impressed with the low miles and Original paint and Factory Powertrain though. I was able to secure the car and end the auction after talking on the phone with John (Cordelia’s nephew) who was tasked with selling her car. Site unseen and 3000 miles later ….. WOW.

Great looking GTO and you probably stole it as well. Some people have all the luck!

Hi Bill,
That darn garden hose bracket. I had the dent massaged out by a “paintless dent removal” guy here in town. I was apprehensive until the guy shows up in his 1969 El Camino. We talked about his years of experience in this craft and he informed me that the old automobiles have a thicker metal than the new cars he usually works on and he couldn’t guarantee success. I said go for it. The crease was about an 1/8’’ deep. He had me remove the headlamps as he positioned a heat gun along with a heat lamp to warm the fender. He then used a long tool from the inside to work out the dent. Amazing. He was 100% successful. It’s just a scratch in the paint now. Check out the ‘65 stamped date in the front fender headlamp reinforcement.

Hilarious.
This guy was actually nice looking, although a couple of those photos show a likeness to that odd looking Christopher Walken.

----Good dent busters are hard to find. Really good job. Love those wire wheel caps. They fit the character of the car perfectly!....Bill S
