New cam lube
It's been a few years since I have installed a new cam/lifters and I know technology is constantly changing. So I need recommendations as to what installation lube to use on a hydraulic flat tappet cam/lifters. Thanks all! Craig

I would also recommend the AMSOIL break in oil.
I use it in ALL BRAND NEW REBUILT ENGINES with flat tappets.

I use what the cam manufacturer recommends.
As an example, this is what Comp Cams sells for installation. They claim it's the best, of course, but you get the idea. Stick with what is recommended. You'll, also, want to make certain you have the right material distributor gear, as they can vary. Break in with light valve springs, if running high lift, high seat pressures, high mineral content break in oil, have the oil system fully primed, get it running ASAP without grinding away on the starter for a prolonged time, get it to correct rpm right away... cam install and break-in has changed dramatically in the past 15-20 years... I believe that is why I see so many builds get "broken-in" on dynos and engine stands. I had my last 2 engines built and broken in on stands with the builder guaranteeing no cam failure. If it fails, he replaces it.
