Re: Pretty cool
I personally think a 70 is better looking than a 69. Looks tough without the top.

Re: Pretty cool
I like the top as well (Sport roof) which was also available on 69's but I much prefer the 69 nose especially with hideaways and nicer tail lighs. Don, somewhere in my files I know a guy that owns a real 454 4-speed 70 with buckets and console. Of course non SS as they were not made after 1969 but a very cool car none the less. Was in Austin or Albert Lea, MN.

It was my understanding that there were no 4-speeds in 1970 - no? |

I know of that car your talking about but I believe it's a made car. No buckets or console offered in 70 and no 4 speeds I thought. Is the car your friend has black?

I know when this car cropped up in the mid 80's we all questioned it through our club, North American Super Sports but thought we had come to the conclusion that they did. Who knows, that was a LONG time ago.

Re: Pretty cool
My first car was a 70 Impala 2-door.
I got it when my father bought a 77 Dodge van. It already came with a dual exhaust. I added a 4-barrel and drove the hell out of it.
