Talking Holiday Weekend...

Just checking in to see what everyone has on the program for Memorial Day Weekend.

We have some golf planned....brisket on the smoker...and probably some home chores and gardening.

Hope everyone enjoys the holiday...be safe and have fun...remember our veterans.

Our Austin Saturday group is going to meet at our friend Carl's shop. We usually have about eight to 10 guys show up.

Taking the "turd" to it's first car show tomorrow. This should be interesting as it's a local high end resort.

The greatest day in racing then on Sunday.

Then there is a nice little ceremony at the Veteran's Memorial in Boulder Junction on Monday. Then I suppose a little socializing at a local establishment afterwards.........

Tim,

Oh yes, that will be interesting taking what looks like a “turd” to a high end establishment.

Most don’t understand what that ‘64 FI really is in that condition, but we do.

Bitchin car that should raise a lot of eyebrows.

Let us know if anyone is keen on what you have.

Chris.

Little Bohemia in Manitowish Waters. That is where the famous shoot out between the FBI and Dillinger occurred.

https://www.littlebohemialodge.com/index.php/history

Manitowish Water has become a bit of an upscale municipality with it's chain of lakes as well as recent influxes of development.

Aside from all of that, the "Turd" was rather well received with only one person that asked when I was going to restore it When I told a few people that I detailed the Turd with a push broom, they either laughed like hell or just didn't get it

Saw some fabulous wood boats today, some really nice cars, talked to a bunch of great people, and Tracey and I took the opportunity to blow off a day.

An overall success!!!
