Four GM A6 AC Compressors (cheap)
I have four GM A6 AC compressors from various second gen Firebirds over the years. I imagine they also fit a bunch of other GM applications as well.
All turn freely except for the yellow labeled one - that one is just a core for rebuilding. The other three were AC/Delco reman units, all purchased at Rockauto over the years to try to solve that annoying oil spray that they leave on the underside of your hood. And of course none of them solved this problem as they all would leave a residue there and I finally gave up. Since the three were basically new with maybe 100 miles on each one I just packed them up and shoved them under the workbench until my recent garage clean-a-palooza. The one with the "METRIC" written on it is the most recent as it uses the metric mounting bolts. The rest are original cases with the standard GM threads from back in the day (quite the rarity these days if you want an original style case). Yellow label unit: $25 (most places will charge you at least a $50 core charge) The other three are $85 apiece OBO, like I said, they worked fine, they just left that annoying telltale stripe on the underside of the hood. GRRRRRR Shipping is extra, of course and these things are heavy as hell, so pickup in NJ is really welcome. Steve at [email protected] Last edited by njsteve; 09-14-2022 at 01:46 AM. |
