Default Heater Delete Documentation

Does anyone have an original window sticker or invoice showing the heater delete option on an A or F body from the factory in 1969? I would be interested in getting a copy of this if possible. Thanks. Jim

I think the only way you could get the heater delete option was on an export vehicle. Mark

I had been told that you could get this option on a car bound for Hawaii. Is this considered export?

Heater delete was definitely availible in Hawaii after 68. I believe Alaska and Hawaii were both considered export. Although I can't imagine anyone not wanted a heater in Alaska.

Some came here as heater delete some got changed over at the dealerships. I know some guys that have 69's and a few of them have Build sheets so I sent out a mass mailing to all the Club members here in search of a Buildsheet or window sticker that would show it listed as an option. I also know the PI cars got the delete as well and have a few friends that are looking at paperwork from those cars along with trying to find one that can be brought back to the US.

I don't know if this helps or not, but ....

Here's a shot of a 1968 Hurst Olds IBM punch card. I *think* the code is C48 for the Export heater delete.

Casey if the build on that car is BEFORE 1 Jan 68 it could have received the Heater Delete no matter where it was shipped to. 1 Jan 68 and later export from the lower 48 states.

Your right Casey, the option was C48 Less Heater Equipment-Contents. I have never seen this option listed on a build sheet but its in the 1969 Camaro Factory Assembly Instruction Manual... Hopefully this helps, Mark
