1969 Z/28 Hugger Orange for sale
I have decided to relist my X77 69 Hugger Orange Z/28 for sale here on Yenko. The car had a black vinyl top and standard black vinyl interior from the factory. It is a JM certified total born with driveline car. I listed it approximately three years ago, the local sale did not go through, and I still own it. I am offering it for sale and have reached out to Bruce with a PM to ask for his help in adding many photos and Jerry MacNeish's full report. I have not heard back from him yet. I'm just not computer savvy enough to do it myself. The car will still run and drive actually pretty well, but I rarely start it. I just don't want to run the tired original born with engine. The born with Muncie needs rebuilt as well.
My car is a 4-owner car. I purchased it from owner #3 ten years ago in 2012. It will need a total and complete frame off restoration! Owner #3 did the metal work and was going to change the color to Daytona yellow which explains the yellow door jambs and he was not going to install the black vinyl top. Other than remnants of the original HO paint in areas on the body, the original hood and rear spoiler, the car is otherwise mostly in primer. He replaced the quarters and fenders and tacked a new trunk floor in and replaced 3 of the 4 floor pans. The dash, firewall, rear shock towers, rear seat area, passenger floor pan, rockers are all solid. I was planning to go back and redo and change some of his work and do a concours, every nut and bolt restoration. In my opinion the car deserves that, but it will just depend on how extensive of a restoration a person will want. I am offering the car as is and what you will see in the pictures with only the extra items that Jerry mentions in his inspection which were, the 5 correct dated YH wheels, the 9E dated voltage regulator and the original DZ May dated carb. These are currently not on the car but are included in the sale. I also purchased a correct dated with original red paint OE deck lid and reinstalled the original rear spoiler after Jerry's inspection that is also included in the sale. The original distributor, alternator, starter, heads and 772 fan blade and much more are still on the car as Jerry mentions. It still has most of its original exhaust still on the car and original shifter and ball. I corrected the headrest issue that Jerry mentioned with correct May dates. I've decided to keep all the extra parts that I have purchased over the years. Hopefully between the photos and Jerry's report most questions will be answered, but I will answer any additional questions that anyone might have. I will accommodate anyone wanting to come in to inspect. I have a lift. $52,500. or serious offers will be considered. Serious inquiries only please! I am including the link from my for-sale post three years ago. Hopefully I can get the pictures and full JM report up pretty quick. Thank you! https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=157217 |

Probably would be helpful to let prospective purchasers know the city / state where the car is located. A hugger orange Z-28 with a born with engine is certainly a worthy restoration candidate. GLWS
