Default 1966 15x7 Torq Thrust D Wheels

Rare original set of 15x7 Torq Thrust D wheels, 4 3/4" pattern, 1966 vintage. I was told they were dealer installed on a 1966 Corvette. They should be restored - there are some nicks/scratches on the polished lip surfaces, and a small area of one wheel lip has some pitting corrosion that may come out with a proper polishing(see 5th picture). I am guessing these would be easy to restore to show condition. Please email or PM with questions. $1600 + shipping.
Thanks sYc!

I am probably wrong, but I thought all the early ones the spoke was sharp and hard up to the blow, not curved in I have a early set of 15'S and quite different

Hi, these are the 'D' spokes designed to clear disc brake calipers. The straight spoke wheels that you describe are more common.

When was the "d" (for disc) introduced, good topic of conversation, never thought about it till now

They sure look like the wheels that the original owner put on my '69 copo car as soon as it was delivered. I've cropped the picture taken in June of 1969 (attached). It's a little grainy. You're tempting me Tony!

Yours in the pic are straight spoke, not curved.
