Value of a Ford SOHC?

At B-J last weekend, they had a nice looking turquoise 62 Galaxie XL pulling a drag boat on a trailer. Both were sold together as one lot, and both boat and car were powered by Ford SOHC engines [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/shocked.gif[/img] The pair sold for $88K, including buyers premium. I thought that to be a real bargain, but perhaps I'm wrong....anyone know the going price on Ford SOHC engines these days?

I almost had that boat bought years ago for 15K. It is just like new. SOHC was probably worth 30K that was in the boat but the boat is worth maybe 3500.00
