I may have ate too many paint chips as a kid, but I vaguely remember a story about a train car with 1957 Chevys that was discovered a decade or two ago. Am I just misremembering something or did this really happen?

Wasn't there a story on Performance Years about a train car with late-40's Cadillacs discovered in the 70's or 80's?

I remember hearing that story back in the mid 60s and as far as I know its BS. I don't think autos were ever shipped in closed box cars.
