Never heard of it, just found it interesting. The car has been bid well past $7k now...looks like the craigslist deal was a fair one!

Bill is pretty close to being 100% right. Turnpike Cruisers had it, too? Ever heard of one? Rare and desirable aren't always synonymous.

RPO K50: Climatic Combustion Control was a one year only (1967) option available on any V8
RPO L65: Turnpike Cruiser was a one year only option on the 442 in 1968 Pontiac offered a "Turnpike Cruiser" option for the GTO in 1968 and 1969: 400-2V with dual exhaust and I believe a 2.76 rear. Last edited by Lee Stewart; 04-26-2017 at 03:45 AM. |
