That is a pretty neat car, it is listed on Craigslist for $6500. Seems to be a steal.

----Climatic Combustion Control has nothing to do with performance. Its rare only because it wasn't any good.......Bill S

Never heard of it, just found it interesting. The car has been bid well past $7k now...looks like the craigslist deal was a fair one!

Bill is pretty close to being 100% right. Turnpike Cruisers had it, too? Ever heard of one? Rare and desirable aren't always synonymous.

I think TCs didn't require it.

I'm showing around 2000 of the CCC were built, most of 'em in Cutlass Supremes.

RPO K50: Climatic Combustion Control was a one year only (1967) option available on any V8

RPO L65: Turnpike Cruiser was a one year only option on the 442 in 1968

Pontiac offered a "Turnpike Cruiser" option for the GTO in 1968 and 1969: 400-2V with dual exhaust and I believe a 2.76 rear.

Lee, I think that the 67 GTO also had the Turnpike cruiser option because a family driver in our area had the 400-2v, T-400 with dual exhaust.
