Default Orig Paint '65 Comet '202' Post Sedan 406/6bbl/4-sp CA Black Plate Project

Pretty cool - I can't believe the guy is selling it and not seeing the build through (sounds like health issues). What a great car this would be finished....and not a bad price point at $7500.

Gonna take more than $7500 to bring that home. The engine alone will fetch that. Of course, the rest of the "original paint and interior" do need a bit of work to clean up.

WHY do people put R&P steering on that low ??? That car is bump steer city with the misalignment of the tie rod to control arm.

I just cut off the r&p mounts on a '54 3100 that had been converted to MII because of this very issue. I fabricated new mounts to move the rack up 1 1/4".

It definitely COULD sell for $7500...no reserve auction.

Yeah, I hear ya, Tony, but it's early and we all know the REAL action is in the last 30 seconds...

Seems it would be a steal for a Ford person at that price.

Riding with Tony on this one. A lot going on the last week of the year for a project car-odds favor the buyer. I doubt he gets a bid.

I bet a guy could separate that drive train from the train wreck of a body and sell it for a handsome profit. Gotta be people with a period correct body they would love to make into a vintage racer.

You'll have to keep this one at the top until the auction ends, or I'll forget about it. My short term memory is swirling at the bottom of the bowl...

Hah, I've got a pair of factory cast iron long headers - not sure they'd fit neatly in that chassis though... does seem like a good deal if that's your kind of thing...
