Another Green / Green car from back in the day. It blows my mind how many Green / Green cars were made in the late 60's to the early 70'. Has to have something to do with returning Vietnam vets and their green uniforms. That's just my guess. But what do I know?

My guess on the returning Nam Vets is that the last thing they would want to be reminded of was their uniforms. Don't forget how poorly so many of them were treated upon their return

Harvest Gold, Coppertone, and Avocado Green were the popular appliance colors back then so earth tones were definitely in fashion.

Very true. Fathom Green was called fatigue green. And after seeing mostly everything green, it truly was the last thing you wanted to see.

Yup - ordered my 69' W-30 442 while I was at Phan Rang, RVN. Black with white guts and gold stripes. Picked her up in Green Bay Feb 69'.

For 30K I would much rather have this Nevada Silver 71 Monte with 98% original paint. This thing is kick ass nice. Listed on FB All Chevy Page

----Very possible. Just check the right box. No 454's, but 402's OK. I had a whopper that I wish I would have kept. Bright blue, black gut, white vinyl top. The kicker,,,,Less than three thousand original miles and 4-speed 402!....Bill S
