Default NASCAR Sanctioned Drag Race Class Winner TROPHY

...
... In 1961, a friend of mine, drove a black and white Chevrolet with OverDrive from Richmond, Virginia to DAYTONA, Florida where they had Drag Races on the back stretch of the DAYTONA Speedway and he Won his class Every night. They gave him this trophy and he drove the car back to Richmond, Virginia.
... Over the years the car on the top of the trophy got damaged and he put this later year car on it ( which is NOT CORRECT).
... I am trying to find the correct car for the top of the trophy and was wondering if anyone would have a photo of a similar trophy so I know what to look for to replace the incorrect top piece.
...
He thinks that it is a silver front engine dragster.
...
... Does anyone have a photo of a similar trophy ?
...
... He is 89 years old .
... His name is James A. Keeton.
... They called him "Cheatin Keeton" .
Thank you in advance.
...

...

...

...

.... Thank you for your help.

Default Trophy

I don’t know much about drag racing but why would a trophy saying timing assoc of NY be issued for a drag race in Daytona ?

Looked at FL but no details on races: https://dragstriplist.com/florida

... They had NASCAR round track races during the day and NASCAR SANCTIONED Drag Races on the back stretch every night for a week ... is what I was told.
... I have yet to find a similar trophy out there , but I know there has to be others.

... I think that I will check out BE ONVIDEO as they appear to have some video of the Drag Races at DAYTONA in 1961.
....

"Bob was one of the first drag racers to race at the newly constructed Daytona International Raceway in 1959. They used the pit road for the drag strip and it was only used for drag racing in 1959. They also used the Raceway for the NASCAR Winter Drags in 1961 and 1962 but no longer used the pit lane. Joe Jacono takes us on a walk down memory lane with his stories of racing on the sand at Daytona Beach in 1956 and then the backstretch of the Speedway in 1961/1962. No one tells stories better than Joe Jacono. "

Trophy Cup/Base and Decals appear earlier than 75-81 F-car Topper?
