Default United States Muscle Car Federation (???)

Not looking at bashing...
A gentleman shared this organization with me at a recent car show. Seems to mirror the Antique Automobile Club of America's Format (with respect to point judging, and the Junior/Senior progression). See link to their upcoming national event for those details. Any of you boys know/heard anything on this organization? Without drilling deeper, they look like they have good intentions (helping to preserve a specefic niche' of American Automobile history - ie, Muscle cars).

Thoughts/Comments?

I know both Tom and Troy who started this group. They work pretty hard at promoting the hobby. They both are good guys who are doing what they can to make it enjoyable for everyone. They want to try and take this thing to the next level and that's why the started the "nationals". This event should be interesting with an old time feel to it.

No problem Mike. Actually it was an ACES member who shared the info with me...let me know if you are heading down, please. I'd like to get some fresh eyes on my car as well -and get it criticaly evaluted. I've pushed this out to some of the Rat Pack gang out of Jersey (AL and BILL are you listening). And like you, MD is only a 4 hour jaunt.

I took my 69 X-Ram JL8 to their muscle car show on May 12th, and I was sooooo disappointed at the quality of what was suppose to be muscle cars, I will never go back. If you were into Fords and Pontiac's, there were some nice cars, but as for Camaro's the turnout sucked, and the Chevelle's were worse yet....Mike C. you would have been very disappointed. Am I missing something here, or am I just getting "Old", the show was advertised as musclecars and there were some pieces of crap there going into the late 70's or early 80's.

I was at one of their shows w/ my Camaro last year and there were a lot of nice cars. There was a threat of rain (that didn't appear until aftet the show )for the May 12th show that kept the car count down.I think their show on Sept. 29th will have potential for more quality cars.I too can't say enough about Tom and Troy, they work real hard to promote the hobby.
If you are looking for a new show to attend in MD. our Maryland Camaro Club will host our annual show on Sat. Sept. 8th. It is open to all Chevy's and we do 200 point judging based on the 200 point class at the Camaro Nationals in Carlisle PA.We are the host club at the Nats. and do the judging there.
Here is a link from Team Camaro with info on the show, hotels and a shot from last year-

If you have any questions PM me, I'll try to help.

That's funny, the threat of rain on May 12th didn't keep the cars away just 3 miles away at the park in Williamsport, they were turning cars away because the park was full. The Ford's and Pontiac's had a great turnout only because they were all from the same prospective clubs travelling together.

The really Funny thing! I spoke with SEVERAL people yesterday who attended the May 12 show. NO ONE remembers a x-ram car being there. As most Camaro owners know a x-ram car is a pretty memorable thing, funny how no one remembers yours, could it be you really didn't attend the show, if I had to bet, I would say that was the case. And I just checked the attendance list and there were only 5 more Mustangs than Camaro's and in fact there were 9 more Camaro's than Pontiac's. Of the 16 cars in the USMCF display 4 of them were Chevelle's. I was just wondering, do you really know what you are talking about ---- never mind, I got this one, NO!!!!!!!!! Again next time before you throw a club or someone you don't know under the bus, get your facts straight.

Tom, What is your problem....you talk about me getting the facts straight, well here are the facts, I was there with my Burgundy X-Ram JL8 and in fact the guy with the AACA Senior awarded Olds invited me to come back to a show that was scheduled the same weekend of the GM Natl's. Now if you still want to make that bet, just let me know.
