Default NEED HELP on 70 nova steering coumn

Hello iam sure someone here can answer this question. I have a 70 nova small block car and iam changing out the column shift steering column and replacing with what i was told is a 69 camaro tilt, the bottom flange where it bolts upto the rag joint on the column shift is a press fit,(on the column side) the flange on the tilt is splined and attaches with one through bolt.Is there a differance between the applications here? i thought nova and camaro were the same here but....?? I wonder if you could say use the flange for a 68-72 big block chevelle steering column or do i need to get a different tilt column alltogether? PLEASE HELP ME.
