Hey Tony
That is a rare as hens teeth orig WOW I AM impressed that you have one I searched 3 years for an orig one. finally found one on a 1970 ori 396 375 hp Nova. Talked the orig owner to sell it to me for big money, he capitulated as I was determined. IT was an orig bracket for a 396 375 hp car and not one for an LS6 as they are both the same number but a little different. Say hi to Rick for me Good luck PJ |

From what I remember the cars built at Norwood and Willow Run in 70 (Camaros and Novas)the brackets were slighty different then the Chevelle version.
Same part different supplier.

While restoring my Canadian 1970 L78 documented chevelle,I noticed there was a difference
in the accelerator bracket. So I did some research into the difference. I found 10 0rig ls6 documented cars all had the same brackets. I also discovered that the L78 brackets were slightly different and all the L78 brackets were the same. Even I received pics of an Elcamino L78 bracket and that bracket was the same as all the rest of the L78 brackets. All were the same number. Being a tool and die maker the small difference was obvious to me. I am away on vacation so I cant post the 2 different brackets however this topic I posted pics a few years ago and must still be in the postings. PJ |

Peter, either you have a car with this bracket in place or you need this bracket for a concourse restoration. If your not going to the next level then a reproduction is an alternative.

The notch & overhang near the bent tang is the difference.

That is an insanely nice repop. I imagine that was expensive to produce!
