1969 Chevelle trim tag help
A friend purchased this car, supposed to be 375/396 it has a pad stamp issue just though I’d get an opinion on the TT

Just basing my opinion on this one photo only....the tag looks brand new...Red Flag
The cowl top looks brand new...Red Flag The factory cowl sealant has been replaced....Red Flag. This is my opinion. Dan

body tag looks new and is likely from a color change to a more desirable color and interior seat selection. The numbers on the tag do fit the 05A range and the vin should be in the 348xxx range which might be the same numbers found on an original tag that was replaced. I agree about the previous observations and will add if the engine had issues this will just compound the suspicions. good luck to your friend with it.
