As most of you know, one of the unique features of the SCR is which dealer will be featured and who will be the special guest. Well, I have been working for over 5 years to get this year's guest to come out of hibernation and attend a sYc event. I am pleased to announce that the featured dealer for SCR6 will be Motion Performance, and if all is back to normal by then (low risk air travel), Mr. Motion himself, Joel Rosen has agreed to attend. This should be a lot of fun, visitng with someone who was instrumental in the creation of some of the wildest and baddest supercars ever built. Hopefully we can have a nice turnout of Motion built cars.

That's awesome. I have a question. This is one for those of you who personally know Joel Rosen. I'm just wondering if he has any interest in the other Super Cars of that era? Yenko, Nickey, Harrell...etc? Did he know about these other dealers back in the late '60s early 70's who were also putting out 427/454 and LT1 Super Cars? Was he purposely trying to "one up" these other dealers with the wild Motion cars? He was definitly a man of vision back then and the unique and awesome Motion cars will always be my favorites. I love learning more about these machines when I come across something I didn't know before and especially seeing a Motion car I haven't seen before. Very tough machines!

55chevy, Yes Joel knew about the other Supercar builders. He had been to the Bill Thomas shop in 1967 and met some of the other Supercar players at the races. Joel built and drove his own drag cars in the early days and won many races.
