I just picked up a 66 Chevelle SS396 360 HP car. It seems to be very complete and original but the rear end puzzles me. I assume it is the wrong rear due to the dating. The car is a 01C car. The rearend was cast C 16 5 and was assembled. 04 06. It is a 373 non posi rear. Is there any way it could be the original before I start searching?
Thanks, Jason |

Jason,
Unfortunately, I don't see any possible way that could be the original rear. Mark |

I have to agree with the fella from CT., a Car built THIRD week of January, 1966 and a Rear from March 16th, 1965 doesn't add up. Let the search begin
